About Me

Brooke Badgett CBATI-KA, CCBC, FDM

Private Dog Trainer Based in Redwood City, CA

Hi, I’m Brooke, a lifelong dog lover using my passion for humane dog training to help dogs and their owners. I believe training should be centered around improving your bond with your dog by utilizing force free training. To effectively assist you and your dog, I will do a thorough consultation before we begin. All of my programs are custom designed to fit your needs. My training plans center around addressing the underlying emotions your dog is feeling. We start by gathering information about your dog’s history, their behaviors, and daily routines. Then, we discuss why your dog is exhibiting their “problem” behaviors, introduce management techniques to immediately prevent those behaviors from happening, and get started on a training plan to enact long-term change.

My goal is to help you better understand your dog and to help your dog become happier, more confident, and more fulfilled. In our sessions together, both you and your dog will be learning new skills! I work with dogs with a variety of behavior issues and training goals. I typically focus on reactivity, puppy training, and over-excited dogs.

I am a graduate of CATCH Canine Trainers Academy, a Certified Behavior Adjustment Training Instructor, a Certified Canine Behavior Counselor through Trish King’s Academy of Dog Behavior, and a Family Dog Mediator through the L.E.G.S Applied Ethology Family Dog Mediation Course. I am also a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. I use force-free training methods to work with dogs. I do not use aversive tools or techniques.
